Thomas | Claim against uninsured driver
Thomas was involved in a head on collision when an oncoming car crossed into his side of the carriageway for no apparent reason, giving him no time to react or avoid the accident. Thomas suffered abrasions and cuts to the head, an injury to the right of his chest and whiplash to the neck and lower back.
If the accident and the injuries he received had not been bad enough, Thomas’s day seemed a lot worse when he discovered that the other driver had no insurance.
Thomas approached lawyers and discovered that he could make a claim for compensation for his injuries from the Motor Insurers Bureau.
A claim was made on Thomas’s behalf and a settlement was agreed with the Motor Insurers Bureau for general damages for pain, suffering and loss of amenity in the sum of £5,000. A further £450 was agreed upon by way of financial loss.
